about

Humanity faces a new set of obstacles, as the FTL communication network goes dark.

1. When the Excession came, we've lost communications with our comsat network. It was just us - here, alone.
No connection to our families off-colony, no participation in the decision-making process, no access to the knowledge we took for granted. We're looking for signals.

2. Transitioning between colonies takes an awful lot of time, since you cannot reasonably expect to exceed the speed of light. Our signals used to be able to cross that limit, but now we use the stars to navigate ourselves, like in the ancient times. We're not even sure if the place we were headed is still there.

3. Differences were unavoidable. We needed to change the way we communicate between ourselves, and start to look for ways to get the FTL comms network up and running again. The problem being that the people who designed the system are not with us here.

4. At this point, with the FTL comms not coming back any time soon, many just broadcast whatever, wherever they can - identity and legacy seem fleeting; we need to be remembered by someone, somewhere.

5. Weeks turned into months, months into years. Time passed as distance seemed to become ever higher. There are now those who have been forgotten, as our collective worlds shrunk and lessened. And those lost in the conflicts.

6. Just come home, we need to start over
Just come home, we need to start
Just come home, we need to
Come home, we need
Come home, we
come home
